Papaiti Gin

Mountains To Sea

SCOPE

Mountains to Sea is a special edition gin inspired by the iconic Mountains to Sea Cycle Trail in Aotearoa New Zealand. The trail begins at Mount Ruapehu, passes right by the distillery in Whanganui, and continues out to the river mouth, creating a unique connection between the gin and the landscape it celebrates. For the distillery’s owners - passionate cyclists themselves - the trail is more than just a scenic route; it’s a personal journey. This gin is a tribute to both their craft and their love for the ride.

The gin features horopito from the forests, mānuka from the riverbanks, and kelp from the sea, capturing the flavours of diverse landscapes from alpine peaks to the coastal waters. Positioned as a premium artisan spirit, it appeals to gin lovers seeking unique flavour and a sense of place.

The packaging brings this journey to life through a vibrant photo-collage illustration, reminiscent of vintage tourism posters, referencing Tongariro National Park and the spirit of exploration.
